Daikin has launched the X Series, a residential heat pump system that combines heating, cooling, and hot water production in a single outdoor unit. This system integrates air-to-air and air-to-water technologies, offering homeowners a flexible and efficient solution for year-round comfort.
A New Approach to Comfort for Modern Irish Homes
The X Series is designed for new-build and fully renovated homes up to 150 square meters. It provides heating, cooling, hot water, and hydraulic heating through a compact system. This approach addresses the evolving needs of Irish households, where changing weather patterns have led to concerns about overheating in highly insulated homes.
Kyrian Opstaele, General Manager of Daikin Ireland, noted that Irish homeowners traditionally focused on heat retention due to the climate. However, recent hot summers have shifted the focus to include cooling solutions. The X Series offers both efficient winter heating and effective summer cooling, eliminating the need for separate systems.

The X Series features a single outdoor unit with five connections, combining air-to-air and air-to-water heat pump technology. This integration allows both functions to operate simultaneously, enhancing flexibility and efficiency. For homes with limited outdoor space, the system reduces installation complexity and eliminates the need for multiple units.
The system uses R-32 refrigerant and supports various indoor unit options, including air-to-air units and hydraulic indoor units. It also integrates with the Daikin Onecta App, enabling homeowners to manage their indoor climate and monitor energy consumption remotely.
